The Macromedia QuickTime Xtra extends the power of QuickTime to your Authorware projects. The QuickTime Xtra provides full, seamless support for playing QuickTime movies in Authorware. New properties and functions let you take advantage of some of QuickTime's powerful new features, such as the ability to stream, rotate and scale movies.

Because support for the latest QuickTime features is provided in Authorware by an Xtra, QuickTime 3 and 4 features are distinct from other Authorware controls that work with QuickTime 2 and AVI movies.
